We are now scheduling guest speakers and group events for the academic year. Some topics we would like to discuss this year include: research in anesthesiology, business principles of anesthesiology, life as a resident, and other interesting areas of the specialty. Members are encouraged to suggest new areas of discussion they find interesting.

March 8, 2008, Troy, MI - The annual Scientific Session was held at the Somerset Inn.
January 24, 2008, in E105 Fee Hall - Dr. Robert Snyder, DO, gave a presentation titled "Guarding Your Profession" on the importance of staying active in political organizations.
December 7, 2007, in the LAC - Dr. Beckmeyer and a few students from the AIG & EM club met with Dr. Scott to discuss the possibility of hosting an IV/Airway workshop. Announcements to be made soon.
October 29, 2007, in 319A East Fee Hall - A group meeting was held to discuss: upcoming research opportunities, scholarship opportunities, the next group meeting with Dr. Dennis Dobritt, and t-shirts among other things.
October 3, 2007, in The Patenge Room - The MSUCOM AIG met with Dr. Zachary Price, M.D., from the Henry Ford Hospital anesthesiology program. Dr. Price (CA-2) discussed anesthesiology residency with students.
September 20, 2007, in A316 E. Fee Hall - The first administrative group meeting of the year was held. Topics discussed included group T-shirts, dues, and future meetings. Please see minutes for more details.
April 4, 2007, in E109 Fee Hall - A group meeting to establish the executive board and constitution. Afterwards Dr. Dennis Dobritt, DO, presented on the subspecialty of pain management.
